We remain committed to supporting students and families in accessing flu, COVID and other vaccines. Below you'll find a list of pharmacies and healthcare providers in Strafford County where you can get your flu shot and ask about other vaccines they have available. These resources are in addition to your primary care provider (PCP).

Why you & your child should get the flu shot each year:
- With health insurance, it is typically provided at no cost
- Your child will be less likely to get the flu and miss school time.
- You won’t have to miss work when you or your child is sick with the flu.

The best way to protect against the flu and its complications is to get a flu vaccine each year. Anyone can catch the flu, but rates of infection are often highest among children. Some children and adults may suffer from complications if they have other health conditions like asthma, diabetes, or heart disease. COVID-19 Vaccine
COVID-19 vaccines are now offered annually to individuals 6 months and older, similarly to the flu shot, to protect against new strains that develop. Vaccine protection decreases over time, so it is important to get your COVID-19 vaccine each year. The COVID-19 vaccine helps protect you from severe illness, hospitalization, and death, and is especially important to get if you are 65 and older, are immunocompromised or at high risk for severe COVID-19. Getting a COVID-19 vaccine is a safer, more reliable way to build protection than getting sick with COVID-19.

How you can prevent COVID, flu and other respiratory illness from spreading:

- Wash your hands! Make sure to wash your hands frequently to help reduce the chance of spreading germs.
- Keep your hands off your face! Avoid touching your eyes, nose & mouth to keep out any germs you may have picked up along the way.

- Stay home if you're sick or don't feel well! This will keep you away from others and keep you from spreading a possible illness, like the flu, to others.
