Flu and COVID Vaccine Clinics
SCPHN partners with community organizations throughout Strafford County every fall to provide no-cost flu shots and other vaccinations like COVID-19 to children and adults in the region who are uninsured and under insured.
SCPHN prioritizes communities where people are more likely to have challenges getting their flu shot like people with transportation issues and those who aren’t connected to a doctor or healthcare provider.
Where will clinics be held?
The Strafford County Public Health Network partners with a wide range of organizations throughout Strafford County to offer free influenza and COVID vaccinations. These organizations include public libraries, food pantries, housing authorities, and many more. Check out our Events Calendar and social media pages for the dates and locations of community clinics. Check back regularly for more information!
How you can prevent the respiratory illnesses from spreading:
- Get vaccinated! If we are not hosting a vaccine clinic in your area, you can visit your doctor’s office, pharmacy, or urgent care to receive your vaccinations.
- You can find information on the influenza vaccine in the Vaccine Information Statement (VIS) here.
- You can find information on the COVID vaccine in the Vaccine Information Statement (VIS) here.
- Wash your hands! Make sure to wash your hands frequently to help reduce the chance of spreading germs.
- Keep your hands off your face! Avoid touching your eyes, nose & mouth to keep out any germs you may have picked up along the way.
- Cover your coughs & sneezes! To stop the spread of germs that can make you and others sick.
- Stay home if you’re sick or don’t feel well! This will keep you away from others and keep you from spreading a possible illness, like the COVID, to others.
Visit the CDC’s website here for more information about how you can stop the spread of the respiratory illness.
Volunteer with our clinics
Our School- & Community-Based Flu Clinics rely on clinical and non-clinical volunteers to help us provide vaccines to people in our communities. We are always looking for volunteers to lend a hand during flu clinic season. Join our Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) on NHResponds to volunteer with us! Click Here to Join our MRC!
Clinic Volunteer Training:
Our medical direction provider, OnSite Medical, has a checklist of training for both medical (vaccinators) and non-medical volunteers. You can find those checklists & more information about volunteering with our vaccination clinics on our Volunteer Page here.
